We have received a number of awards for our food, most recently from the 2017 Scottish Hotel Awards where we were given the “Informal Restaurant Hotel of the year” for the Highlands region.
We have a passion for food and especially seafood. We are very fortunate to have such a rich larder on our doorstep and are determined to make the most of it. We work hand-in-hand with our suppliers to provide high quality, fresh, local ingredients.
All our lobsters, langoustines, crabs and spineys are creel caught and are fished in the waters surrounding the hotel. You may even see the fishing boats landing on the slipway in front of the hotel. Our scallops are hand dived a short distance along the coast. The mussels are rope grown in the clean waters around Kylesku. The fish we serve comes from Scottish coastal waters, and is landed either at Kinlochbervie or Scrabster.
We also work with a number of local crofters in the area. They rear free range rare breed pork and lamb, and even grow vegetables! Our beef comes from animals reared in the Scottish Highlands. All our venison is wild, and from the surrounding hills.
To accompany the food, we have an interesting wine list, real local ales and an ever growing collection of single malt whiskies & Scottish gins.
Our recent refurbishment, whilst keeping the charm and warmth of Kylesku, gives a more contemporary look to the whole dining area.
The Bar is at the heart of the action. Always busy and frequented by locals and tourists alike.
We are taking our winter break between the 26th of November 2018 to the 8th of February 2019.
We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner on a daily basis. Until the 1st of May 2018, we will serve food for breakfast from 8 am until 10 am, lunch from 12 noon until 2:30 pm and dinner from 6 pm until 9 pm. Please call us on 01971 502231 if you would like to make a booking.

Main courses start from around £14.50, whilst our lavish Seafood Platter will provide a veritable feast for just £35 for one person. We also have tables outside, so that you can enjoy the fresh air, mountain & loch views with every mouthful or a drink.
We welcome your little ones. Some of our dishes are available in smaller portion as well as a children’s menu.
