Boat crew
Skipper James and his crew cruise the local sea lochs aboard the Kylesku Hotel boat, the Rachael Clare. Trips depart daily from April to September from the Kylesku slipway, just outside the hotel.

James
SKIPPER
James became skipper of the Rachael Clare in 2014, in a joint venture with Kylesku Hotel. Originally from Derby, his background was in property. When not skippering the boat, he loves to walk his dog Tizzy and travelling to far flung places around the globe in the winter.
Baking shortbread for the boat.
Loch Beag for its beauty.
Come on our boat trip.

David
loyal crew
David is from Shetland via Surrey and joined the team in 2016. He has a background in HR, specialising in leadership training and coaching. David speaks French and has a great love and knowledge of the area which he loves to share with visitors on the trip.
Watching sport, having a beer (or two) with friends in the Kylesku Hotel bar.
Scourie Beach and headland. We walk our dog Juno there three-four times a week.
Be prepared for all weather. Sit down and breathe deeply.

Peter
Crew
Peter is originally from England and joined the boat crew in 2017. He was a police officer for over 30 years, and his varied career includes stints as a Greek waiter, bed linen salesman and plumber. He is the owner of Scourie Guest House and local plumber and ‘fixer’ of all things.
No free time. Too busy!
Loch Beag, where the highest waterfall in the UK is.
Get out and make the most of the area. Beautiful scenery.
